Exploring the Gap
between Science and Religion is a philosophy book
addressing the nature of humans as definers, it also closely
relates to the philsophy of science and the philosophy of
religion. So the most comprehensive way to explore the gap is by
studying these two areas of philosophy through the filter of exploring the gap.
Texts for the course include Theory and Reality by Peter Godfrey-Smith and God, Freedom, and Evil by Alvin C. Plantinga. As of this posting, the course is not offered at any college or university. If you are a student and wish to take this course as an independent study, or wish to convince a college you are attending to offer the class, download the syllabus and show it to your philosophy or theology department. I will be working the issue from the other end by sending the syllabus to institutions that might have an interest in offering the course. If you are a philosophy or theology professor, the syllabus is free of charge and can be altered in any way you see fit, including changing the supporting text. I am willing to assist in revising the syllabus and interested in hearing alternative texts to the ones I've included. Click here to receive a link to the course syllabus.
